The 50th Anniversary of Scott O'Dell's Island of the Blue Dolphins was celebrated throughout 2010.  In the 50th anniversary edition of Scott's book, you'll find a new introduction by Newbery Medalist, Lois Lowry, and new cover art. Previous U.S. covers include:

After the book was published in 1960, the Island of the Blue Dolphins movie was produced in 1964 and directed by James B. Clark. Promotional movie posters were distributed. You can see them below:

In addition to the movie posters, special stills from the movie were also released. There were photos of Karana and Rontu, Captain Orlov and others.
